Amazon Robotics is hiring a Solutions Design Engineer to design and optimize robotic material-handling systems for Amazon Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, and Amazon Logistics. The role involves hands-on physical-systems design, operational and financial analysis, modeling, project management, systems integration, and coordination with product management, systems engineering, global leaders, partners, and customers. The position requires at least five years of relevant design, innovation, research and development, manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering experience, along with engineering project-management experience. It is based in North Reading, Massachusetts, or Detroit, Michigan, with up to 10% travel, and offers a base salary of $99,300 to $160,000 annually plus benefits.
