Formic is hiring a Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary pre-sales technical and applications partner for prospective manufacturing customers. The role involves understanding production challenges, gathering requirements, analyzing CAD and process data, designing and scoping robotic automation solutions, preparing cost estimates, participating in customer meetings, managing proposals, and ensuring clean handoffs to deployment and support. The position requires at least three years of pre-sales technical and manufacturing experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination, CAD proficiency, familiarity with major six-axis robot OEMs, and willingness to travel 35–40%. Compensation is $115,000–$155,000 USD, with medical, dental, and vision coverage and other benefits.
