Description
HEO is hiring a Space Electronics Design Engineer to design and build high-performance electronics for next-generation optical payloads used in non-Earth imaging operations. The role covers the full electronics lifecycle, including interface boards, thermal control, focal control, high-speed PCB design, microcontroller and image-sensor integration, wiring harnesses, automated test rigs, control systems, fault-tolerant circuits, and EMI mitigation. Candidates should have an engineering degree, 3–5 years of hands-on electronics experience, practical PCB and control-systems experience, and knowledge of circuit protection and EMI practices; FPGA and space-environment experience are preferred. The role is based in Sydney and requires Australian citizenship and a background check.
