Description
LSS is hiring a Space Mechanisms Engineer to lead the development of high-reliability space mechanisms from concept through qualification and flight. The role covers deployment systems, release devices, motor-driven assemblies, latching mechanisms, and precision space hardware, including architecture, CAD and FEA design, structural and dynamic analysis, motorization, tribology, materials, qualification testing, and technical reviews. Candidates need a master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, at least five years of experience in mechanisms or precision hardware development, and strong CAD and FEA skills.
