Description
The Aerospace Engineer will support NASA's Genesis Flight Mechanics Simulation tool and related spacecraft and commercial programs by developing software and scripts, designing guidance-algorithm analyses, integrating Core Flight Systems and trajectory tools, testing algorithms, and documenting mission-design requirements. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, typically 2–5 years of experience, and expertise in orbital mechanics, spacecraft trajectories, mission-design algorithms, 6-DOF simulations, C++, Python, Linux, Git/GitLab, and simulation-model validation. It is onsite in Houston, Texas, with salary starting at $130,000 and consultant hourly rates starting at $75.
