Description
The Special Collections and Archives Assistant provides reference and consultation to faculty, staff, and the public; staffs the Reading Room; assists with archival collection processing, finding aids, collection maintenance, digitization, programming, exhibits, inventories, and other archival projects. The role requires a bachelor's degree, strong communication and writing skills, project management ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. One year of library or archival experience, academic library experience, and graduate-level archival coursework are desirable, while the role also requires the ability to pack and lift up to 50-pound boxes.
