Description
The Special Education Classroom Assistant supports Special Education teachers at Southwest Side-1104 West 31st Street (Charles N Holden School) by assisting students with disabilities in instruction, tutoring, daily living skills, personal hygiene, feeding, field trips, and classroom records. The role also involves positioning non-ambulatory students, using assistive equipment, and may include physical restraint, CPR administration, and audio-visual or photocopying equipment. A valid TASN paraprofessional license or the ability to obtain one after completing the required college credit or paraprofessional exam is required, along with knowledge of disabilities, English, and basic mathematics.
