Description
The Special Education Classroom Assistant supports Special Education teachers at Southwest Side-6450 South Lowe Avenue (Joshua D Kershaw School) by assisting students with disabilities in instruction, IEP implementation, tutoring, personal hygiene, daily living skills, feeding, note-taking, homework correction, behavior records, field trips, and related classroom activities. The role requires a valid TASN paraprofessional license or the ability to obtain one after completing the required college credit or paraprofessional exam, along with knowledge of disabilities, English, and basic mathematics.
