Description
The Special Education Paraeducator supports students with disabilities in a classroom setting, assisting the Special Education Teacher with IEP- or IFSP-aligned lesson planning, one-on-one and small-group instruction, classroom management, observation, assessment, data collection, and communication with parents and staff. The role also supervises students, provides behavior support, attends to physical and hygiene needs, and participates in education-team activities. It is a 30-hour-per-week school-year assignment for Waterville School District, with a salary range of $21.82 to $26.99 per hour and requirements including a high school diploma or GED, relevant education or assessment credentials, criminal-history clearance, and Washington State paraeducator core competencies.
