Description
The Lansing School District is hiring special education teachers to provide inclusive, world-class instruction to students with special education needs. The role supports IEP goals, differentiates instruction across math, literacy, social studies, and science, collaborates with general education teachers, parents, and students, and documents progress toward learning goals. Applicants need a bachelor's degree and prior experience working with students with special education needs; a Michigan special education teaching certificate, urban teaching experience, and training in CRPBIS, CPI, or related instructional methodologies are preferred. The position requires physical movement throughout the campus, extended standing or walking, occasional floor interaction, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
