Description
Innovation Charter High School is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher (History, Grades 9–12) to co-teach and co-assess in an integrated classroom, deliver inclusive history instruction, support students with IEPs through differentiated and inquiry-based learning, monitor progress, maintain SESIS documentation, and advocate for students. The role requires New York State Students with Disabilities Teaching Certification or an active certification pathway and a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree, relevant teaching experience, IEP support experience, and familiarity with New York City special education systems are preferred. Compensation is $68,902–$95,000, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, and professional development benefits.
