Description
The Special Gifts Officer manages a portfolio of 180 alumni, parents, friends, churches, and businesses, developing cultivation and solicitation plans, conducting face-to-face donor contacts, maintaining records in The Raiser’s Edge, and supporting donor recognition programs. The role reports to the President of Geneva College Foundation, requires frequent travel including overnight stays, and involves evening work. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 1–2 years of development experience, preferably in higher education, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and an evangelical Christian commitment; a master’s degree, five years of higher-education fundraising experience, athletics fundraising experience, and Raiser’s Edge knowledge are preferred.
