ABC 7/WJLA-TV in Washington, DC is hiring a Special Projects Producer to handle election planning, quarterly I-Team specials, longform specials, town halls, and other newsroom projects. The role requires an experienced journalist capable of producing broadcast, digital, and social content; strong interviewing, research, writing, graphics, and deadline-management skills; knowledge of copyright, libel, and defamation law; and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. The position requires at least five years of line and/or field production experience, a bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field, and familiarity with SAGA/MIMIR, Premiere, Xpression, and Tagboard is a plus. Full-time compensation is $38.46 to $46.58 per hour, with benefits including retirement, life and disability insurance, health, dental, and vision plans.
