Description
The Automation Systems Technician serves as an on-site Service Advantage Partner technician, performing preventative and break-fix maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, installations, retrofits, and triage on robotic, workstation, and partner-structure automation systems. The role provides second-level technical support, documents maintenance in a client maintenance system, communicates with partner support and customers, and follows safety and service-level procedures. It requires an associate degree, four years of apprenticeship, or equivalent training in robotics, mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical fields, along with expertise in automation controls, electrical and electronic principles, Linux, Java, XML, SQL, database administration, schematics, CMMS, and industrial PCs.
