Michigan State University is hiring a full-time, 12-month fixed-term Academic Research Specialist in the Department of Microbiology, Genetics, and Immunology to work in Dr. Wei Wang’s laboratory. The role investigates WHIM mutations and HPV pathogenesis, K17 expression in HPV-positive head and neck cancer, and immune microenvironment regulation. Applicants must have a terminal degree in microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, or a related field, strong quantitative and communication skills, and previous experience with animal models and flow cytometry; postdoctoral experience and next-generation sequencing analysis are preferred. The position is based in East Lansing and is available starting immediately.
