Outwood Academy Brumby is hiring a Specialist Teaching Assistant to provide high-level academic support, particularly at GCSE level, for students with learning difficulties and disabilities. The role manages student caseloads, advises on adaptations and resources, monitors EHCP life skill and academic targets, leads Person-Centred and EHCP reviews, delivers intensive intervention programmes, completes welfare and health-care documentation, and supports exam access arrangements and inclusion rooms. Candidates must meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications and experience, with knowledge of SEND needs and the SEND Code of Practice. The position is based in Scunthorpe, pays £27,724–£29,916, and runs 35 hours per week during term time plus five days.
