The Lansing School District is hiring a Specialized Assistant to support students with disabilities in the ASD Resource Room at North. The role involves building relationships with students and families, supporting teachers during lessons, ensuring student safety, prioritizing assigned tasks, and coordinating with school staff. Applicants must have an associate's degree, 60 completed college credits, or proof of passing the ETS Paraprofessional Exam; prior experience in small-group and RTI settings, IEP understanding, and a desire to become a certified teacher are preferred. The position requires physical assistance with students, frequent communication, and occasional use of computers and radios, and is scheduled for 7 hours per day at 0.875 FTE.
