Description
The Lansing School District is hiring a Specialized Assistant to support students with disabilities in an assigned school building, including one-on-one and small-group instruction, safety, engagement, parent communication, and coordination with teachers and school leaders. The role supports the EI program, requires an associate's degree, 60 college credits, or passing the ETS Paraprofessional Exam, and involves physical work such as standing, moving between indoor and outdoor settings, bending, kneeling, assisting with transfers, and lifting up to 50 pounds. It is a 0.875 FTE position with 7 hours per day.
