Description
The Lansing School District is hiring a Specialized Assistant to support students with disabilities in Grades K-4. The role works directly with students, supports teachers during lessons, builds relationships with students and families, prioritizes assigned tasks, and ensures student safety. It requires an associate's degree, 60 college credits, or a passing ETS Paraprofessional Exam, with small-group and RTI experience, IEP understanding, and long-term teacher certification interest preferred. The position is 0.875 FTE, seven hours per day, and requires physical movement, bending, kneeling, crouching, transfers, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
