Description
The Specimen Processor handles incoming specimens and requisitions, routes them to appropriate testing departments, verifies sample identification, records and stores specimens, follows rejection and chain-of-custody procedures, aliquots samples for send-outs, enters requisition and insurance data into laboratory software, and coordinates with phlebotomists, couriers, supervisors, and managers. The role requires phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, intermediate laboratory software experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
