Description
The Diverse Learners Teacher will instruct, track progress, and support students in an assigned class under the supervision of the school principal. The role includes setting individualized education plan goals, collaborating with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers, managing classroom behavior, designing engaging instruction and assessments, and advocating for student equity and well-being. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher, complete the CPS application and teaching profile, and hold a valid Illinois teaching license with the appropriate endorsement. The position is based at the Josephine C Locke School on North/Northwest Side and requires Chicago residency or willingness to become a resident within six months.
