Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, diagnosis, care planning, and direct or indirect treatment for cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. The role includes counseling patients and caregivers, case management, discharge planning, coordination with physicians and community resources, backup coverage, professional education, reporting, quality assurance, and participation in patient-care rounds and staff orientation.
