Versant is hiring a remote SQL Database Administrator II based in Florida to administer and troubleshoot SQL Server environments across production, staging, and development, while also supporting MySQL and PostgreSQL. The role focuses on database reliability, security, performance optimization, backup and disaster-recovery planning, automation, observability, and collaboration with software development, data engineering, QA, and infrastructure teams. Candidates need at least five years of SQL Server transactional database administration experience, strong AWS database-service knowledge, advanced SQL Server performance and concurrency expertise, and proficiency with T-SQL, PowerShell, Git, and related database operations.
