Cogent Infotech is hiring a Senior Accountant in New York, New York, for a six-plus-month assignment. The role covers accounting support for assigned operating units, including recording and analyzing financial transactions, reviewing invoices and purchase orders, general ledger coding, bank and account reconciliations, project balance reconciliation, and financial reporting. The position requires strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and invoice and purchase order review; experience supporting a senior-level accounting position, PeopleSoft Financial Management, government or nonprofit organizations, and project accounting is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with pay of USD 28 to USD 30 per hour.
