Fauna Robotics is hiring a Sr. Applied Scientist to research and develop advanced navigation systems for robots operating safely in complex, dynamic indoor environments. The role covers classical and learning-based navigation, simulation and on-device evaluation, sim-to-real transfer, integration with world models and manipulation systems, and mentoring. Candidates need a PhD or a master's degree with at least six years of applied research experience, strong robotics and machine learning publications, Python or C++ programming experience, and a track record of leading technical projects. The position is based in Sunnyvale, California, with a base salary of 192,200 to 260,000 USD annually.
