Pinwheel is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to own AI-driven, platform-level initiatives for its Integrations Platform, including services, queues, data pipelines, async workflows, and integration infrastructure. The role leads projects with junior and mid-level engineers, sets technical direction, and collaborates with integrations and adjacent teams. It requires 5+ years of backend engineering experience, a computer science degree or comparable experience, strong systems design, autonomous project leadership, and AI-forward thinking. The position is hybrid with three days per week in the New York City office near Union Square and offers a base salary of $160,000–$200,000 plus equity and benefits.
