Xumo is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and optimization of backend systems for its video streaming platform. The role covers video ingestion, metadata and recommendation pipelines, API and data-layer development, cloud deployment, testing, monitoring, and collaboration with product, operations, security, and other engineering teams. It is office-based in Irvine, California, or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a four-days-on-site-and-one-day-remote schedule, and requires a bachelor's degree plus extensive backend, API, database, Linux, microservices, and cloud experience.
