Description
The Sr. Controller provides strategic leadership and oversight of accounting operations and financial reporting for an organization, including monthly financial statements, audits, internal controls, and compliance with FQHC, HRSA, federal, state, and GAAP requirements. The role leads the Accounting Department and manages approximately 11 staff across general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, grants accounting, investments, debt financing, and tax compliance. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least five years of progressive healthcare or nonprofit accounting or finance experience, three to five years of accounting-team leadership experience, experience preparing monthly financial statements in a multi-entity or fund-based environment, and extensive experience with external audits and Uniform Guidance Single Audits.
