Microsoft is hiring a Senior Data Center Technician (DCT) to prepare, install, diagnose, troubleshoot, replace, and decommission network, server, storage, and cabling equipment in production data centers. The role supports Microsoft’s cloud services, provides guidance to less experienced technicians, completes assigned tickets, follows security and safety procedures, and may require up to 25% travel and 12-hour shifts. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer hardware knowledge, and at least two years of IT equipment support experience; the typical U.S. base pay is USD 34.13–56.54 per hour, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
