The employer is hiring a Sr. Database Administrator in Atlanta, Georgia for a 12+ month, $70 per hour C2C engagement. The role manages IBM DB2 databases on the z/OS mainframe, including object administration, data operations, backups, recovery, performance tuning, upgrades, high availability, risk and compliance, and disaster recovery. It also supports application teams, external vendors, and service-level management, with on-call responsibilities. The posting requires at least 8 years of experience with zDb2, IMS DB/DC, and/or ADABAS, along with SQL, partitioning, indexing, JCL, and database security knowledge; a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
