Description
Capstone Copper is hiring an open-pit drill-and-blast engineer to manage blasting and production-drilling operations at its Pinto Valley mine. The role oversees safety compliance, drilling-platform design, blasting protocols, fragmentation, consumables, contracts, budgets, QA/QC, and continuous-improvement metrics, while coordinating with geotechnical engineers and mine planners. It requires 5–10 years of mining experience, a bachelor’s degree in mine engineering, and strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; the position is 100% onsite with a Monday–Thursday 4–10 schedule and a 50% office/50% field work environment.
