Description

Qualcomm is hiring a Systems Engineer to architect, analyze, and optimize DSP and embedded NPU performance across Snapdragon platforms. The role focuses on machine-learning kernel and subsystem optimization, performance and power modeling, quantization and compression strategies, hardware/software co-design, and architectural recommendations for mobile, XR, compute, IoT, and automotive applications. Candidates need a background in DSP, embedded NPU, and low-power AI systems, along with embedded C/C++ and Python skills, experience with embedded processors and real-time operating systems, and a relevant bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years of Systems Engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a PhD in a related field.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience analyzing, benchmarking, and optimizing performance on embedded processors, including DSP, ARM, RISC-V, and NPU.
Experience with embedded platforms, real-time operating systems, and hardware/software co-design.
Preferred Qualifications: Background in DSP architecture, embedded NPU design, and low-power AI systems.
Expertise in fixed-point and floating-point implementation for machine learning and AI workloads.
Strong fundamentals of power modeling and power analysis.
