Description
The role performs intermediate semiskilled sanitation work by driving refuse trucks or automated side loaders, collecting and carting refuse and yard waste, operating loading, compressing, and dumping equipment, completing assigned routes, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and following safety practices. It requires a high school diploma or GED, considerable experience in sanitation operations or motorized heavy equipment, and a valid North Carolina commercial driver's license with a Class A or B endorsement. The work involves heavy manual labor, outdoor conditions, and occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
