Description
The Senior Firewall Engineer supports the GSM-O effort by designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining complex firewall solutions across Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies. The role is based at the Pentagon and requires 100% on-site support, with responsibilities including firewall monitoring, security-policy development, audits, troubleshooting, configuration management, team leadership, reporting, and service improvement. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of directly relevant experience, at least three years of Department of Defense firewall experience, a DoD Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI capability, DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification, and a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification. The salary is $190,000 to $200,000.
