Description
The Firmware Validation Engineer will validate firmware for next-generation optical coherent pluggable transceivers by defining validation strategies, planning and executing system-level, feature-level, and regression tests, building automated test frameworks, and ensuring carrier-grade quality and compliance. The role collaborates with firmware, hardware, optical, ASIC, software, and product engineering teams, leads root-cause analysis of customer and field issues, and supports test automation, release readiness, quality metrics, and risk assessment. The position requires an engineering degree, at least five years of optical telecom product validation experience, expertise in coherent optics and relevant standards, carrier-grade embedded-system testing experience, optical test equipment proficiency, and strong Python and test-automation skills.
