Description

Libra AI is hiring a Senior AI Engineer in Bengaluru for a full-time, on-site role combining individual contributor work with pod leadership. The engineer will architect and own scalable backend systems for agentic workflows, including orchestration pipelines, retrieval layers, evaluation infrastructure, and related AI infrastructure. The role requires strong backend and JavaScript/TypeScript experience, AI orchestration and LLM fundamentals, SQL and vector-database expertise, system design, and demonstrated leadership.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 4 to 5+ years of strong software development experience shipping production systems
Hands-on experience with AI orchestration frameworks
Experience with SQL, vector databases, RAG pipelines, embeddings, chunking, and retrieval evaluation
Experience with core AI fundamentals including quantization, attention, tokenization, inference economics, and fine-tuning versus prompting
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and system design
Experience architecting scalable backend systems with async pipelines, queues, caching, and database design
Experience working on systems at scale in traffic, data, or concurrency
Experience mentoring engineers, owning architecture decisions, or leading a pod
Preferred Qualifications: DevOps fluency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
Prior experience at an AI-first company or shipping LLM products
Exposure to graph databases, agent frameworks, or multi-model routing
