Description
The Senior GL Accountant will manage general ledger accounting, financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, and project accounting for assigned railroad entities. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining GAAP-compliant records, coordinating month-end close activities, analyzing financial variances, supporting fixed asset and capital project accounting, and contributing to audits and process improvements. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a valid driver’s license; CPA and public accounting experience are preferred.
