Description
Suncor is hiring a Geotechnical Engineer to support geotechnical investigations, instrumentation review, slope stability, seepage, liquefaction, hydraulic fracture, settlement, and freeboard assessments, as well as the design, construction, operation, surveillance, reporting, remediation, and decommissioning of earthen dams, pit walls, and dumps. The role requires 7 to 10+ years of relevant geotechnical or civil earthworks experience, a bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining, or geotechnical engineering, and current Professional Engineer status in Canada. The position is based at the Syncrude Aurora Asset in Fort McMurray, with relocation support and a regular 40-hour work week.
