Description
SpaceX is hiring a Senior HPC Systems Engineer to administer and manage high-performance computing clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networks; provide application support to engineering personnel; install and integrate Linux-based compute clusters; and create technical documentation. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 5+ years of systems engineering experience, or 7+ years of professional software-building experience, along with extensive hands-on experience with hardware, software, networking, virtualization, and security technologies. Preferred qualifications include Linux systems, scripting, HPC clusters, resource managers, monitoring, scientific computing, GPU and CUDA, containers, configuration management, Kubernetes, and classified-material eligibility. The position may require extended hours and weekends and offers a Level 3 base salary of $165,000 to $265,000 plus medical, vision, dental, retirement, and other benefits.
