Description
SpaceX is hiring a Senior Materials Engineer, Wet Processing (Ingot/Wafer) to lead the chemistry, materials, and surface-quality strategy for silicon ingot and wafer production. The role owns wet-process baths and recipes, qualification programs, contamination and surface-quality investigations, chemical sourcing, bath monitoring, and high-volume hand-off, while mentoring cross-functional teams. It requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM discipline and at least five years of professional experience in wet chemical processing, semiconductor or photovoltaic wafer processing, or manufacturing materials support. The position involves travel, hazardous-chemical work, extended hours, and physical work in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
