Intuitive Surgical is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its Future Forward advanced-concepts group to develop, document, validate, and sustain mechanical designs for robotic laparoscopic energy and non-energy instruments. The role covers product architecture, electro-mechanical assemblies, kinematics, materials, stress analysis, prototyping, testing fixtures, design verification, FDA design-control documentation, supplier DFM collaboration, root-cause analysis, and new-product-introduction support. Candidates need strong analytical and mechanical-design skills, CAD and simulation tools, Matlab programming, and experience across the product-development lifecycle; BSME, MSME, or PhD experience levels are specified.
