Description
CNPC USA is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Houston, Texas, to lead the mechanical design and development of MWD/LWD downhole tools, initially focusing on high-speed mud-pulse telemetry systems and new product development. The role owns the mechanical architecture from concept through prototyping, qualification, field deployment, and commercialization, including pulser mechanisms, electronics packaging, sealing, pressure compensation, hydraulic analysis, structural and fatigue analysis, materials selection, testing, manufacturing support, and failure analysis. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, at least eight years of mechanical design and development experience, and direct experience with high-speed mud-pulse telemetry tools or related downhole products.
