Intuitive Surgical is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its Future Forward advanced-concepts group to develop, document, validate, and sustain mechanical designs for robotic laparoscopic energy and energy instruments. The role covers component and assembly design, miniaturization, electro-mechanical analysis, prototyping, testing fixtures, design-for-manufacturing, FDA design-control documentation, root-cause analysis, and new-product-introduction support. Candidates need strong analytical and mechanical-design skills, CAD and simulation proficiency, product-development experience, and a BSME with 8 years of experience, an MSME with 6 years, or a PhD with 3 years; medical-device experience is preferred.
