Intuitive Surgical is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, document, validate, and sustain mechanical systems for robotic laparoscopic energy instruments. The role covers product architecture, kinematics, materials, stress analysis, testing fixtures, supplier DFM, design reviews, FDA design-control documentation, root-cause analysis, and new-product-introduction support. Candidates need strong analytical and prototyping skills, mechanical design software, Matlab, finite-element analysis, and experience across the product development lifecycle; BSME, MSME, or PhD experience levels are specified, with medical-device experience preferred.
