Description
LaBella is hiring a mid-level Mechanical Engineer for its Building Engineering Division – Energy Infrastructure team in Syracuse, Elmira, or Ithaca, New York. The role leads HVAC and district energy system design, conducts field investigations, performs calculations, reviews project drawings, mentors junior engineers, and communicates with clients on feasibility, cost-benefit, and design options. The position requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, strong HVAC and hydronic design experience, and familiarity with Revit or AutoCAD; a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, geothermal or district energy experience, and a New York State Professional Engineer’s license are preferred. The salary range is $80,000–$120,000 per year, with health and dental insurance and other benefits.
