Description
Intuitive Surgical is hiring a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for its Future Forward group to design and build proprietary manufacturing and test equipment for robotic systems, instruments, and accessories. The role covers equipment from early prototypes through clinical trials and product launch, including mechanical assemblies, automation, workholding, sensing, motion, vision, PLCs, electronics, controls, validation, documentation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The position requires at least six years of manufacturing equipment design experience, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field, and proficiency with 3D CAD and hands-on mechatronic hardware development.
