Description
Intuitive Machines is hiring a senior Surface Mobility and Robotics Mechanisms Engineer to lead the design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing, and end-to-end demonstration of a Mars rover Engineering Development Unit. The role serves as the product design lead for the rover build, leads traction and steering actuator design, owns the vehicle superstructure, integrates a seven-degree-of-freedom robotic manipulator, coordinates assembly and testing, and interfaces with cross-disciplinary teams. The position is on-site in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and requires a mechanical engineering degree, at least 10 years of experience, and expertise in spaceflight mechanisms, actuators, mechanisms analysis, CAD, GD&T, and flight hardware procurement.
