eBay is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead high-impact machine learning initiatives across its Ads and marketplace discovery teams. The role provides technical leadership to engineers, champions software engineering practices, designs and operates scalable backend and machine learning systems, translates research prototypes into production code, mentors team members, and drives customer and business impact through A/B testing. The position requires an MS in Computer Science or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a BS/BA with 13+ years, along with expertise in production software engineering, cloud and distributed systems, Python, modern machine learning frameworks, and live production ML operations.
