Description
Amazon is hiring a Network Operations Engineer to provide tier 1 support for software-defined network services on Amazon Leo, its global low Earth orbit satellite network. The role involves responding to and escalating network incidents, troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and security issues; supporting satellite, gateway, and points-of-presence deployments; monitoring network performance; developing operational tools and procedures; managing severity 2 and 3 tickets; and leading and mentoring other Network Support Engineers. The position requires at least six years of technical support experience, large-scale network engineering experience, knowledge of internet fundamentals and cloud computing, and a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent networking and troubleshooting experience.
