SightMD is hiring a Senior Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmic physicians across Riverhead, Southampton, Hampton Bays, and Smithtown. The role performs comprehensive pre-examination and advanced diagnostic testing, manages patient flow and administrative tasks, documents clinical encounters, administers medications, assists with examinations and minor procedures, maintains equipment, and supports billing and coding. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of ophthalmic technician experience, strong customer service and organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to stand for long periods. The position offers a rotating schedule including days, evenings, and weekends, travel between the listed locations, mileage reimbursement, and an hourly pay rate of $27.50.
